Healing Arts on the Green
To support our community's health and wellness as we transition out of the pandemic, First Church of Christ, Congregational, 1652, and the Farmington Libraries are hosting a series of free experiential events to help participants learn simple, practical tools of self-healing to balance and harmonize soul, heart, mind & body. No prior training is necessary. Bring a towel, mat, blanket, or chair. Parking is available in the Barney Library lot.
The event will take place in Amistad Hall at the Sarah Porter Memorial on 75 Main Street. Masks are required.
September 14: Bespoke Yoga with Pat Reville
Balance, Stretch, Strengthen, and Restore. Yoga for all abilities, whether in the chair or on the mat, join us to rest your mind, gently stretch your muscles, limber your joints, and play with your balance.
Patricia Reville focuses her teaching of yoga on students becoming aware of how their bodies respond to different positions and sequences. Prioritizing emotional and physical feelings changes the emphasis from what is going on in the external world and redirects the mind to mindful movement and reflection. Whether on the mat, standing, or seated her practice mobilizes all the joints. Pat teaches in a variety of yoga studios and other settings and holds certifications in yoga from Journey of Yoga, Simsbury CT, and Prajna Yoga in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Other events in the series:
September 21: Guided Journaling and Cleansing Meditation with Debra Borrero
This program will be 75 minutes long.
