Healing Arts on the Green

To support our community's health and wellness as we transition out of the pandemic, First Church of Christ, Congregational, 1652, and the Farmington Libraries are hosting a series of free experiential events to help participants learn simple, practical tools of self-healing to balance and harmonize soul, heart, mind & body. No prior training is necessary. Bring a towel, mat, blanket, or chair. Parking is available in the Barney Library lot.

The event will take place in Amistad Hall at the Sarah Porter Memorial on 75 Main Street. Masks are required.

September 28: Integrating Sound and Color into Qigong Practice with Marie Lavendier and Suan Armstrong

Marie Lavendier is certified in Qigong (Chi Kung) and various forms of conscious dance. Qigong is the ancient art of healing exercises to heal and maintain health. We open the flow of energy in the body using breath, gentle movement, and intention. No previous experience necessary and can be done in a chair.

Suan Armstrong is a Doctor of Medical Qigong and also certified in Tap Yin Fa and Zhineng Qigong. She joyfully shares her love of Qigong, sound and color, weaving together the high frequencies of these practices to facilitate healing of the body, mind, and spirit

This event will last 75 minutes.
