A fun-filled half hour for child and caregiver featuring books, fingerplays, and lots of music. 

Registration required; register once for the whole session.

 Each week we will share a story and explore a different art medium that will aim to focus on both early literacy and fine motor skills. Caregiver must accompany their child.

For babies ages 0 to 12 months with their caregivers. Registration required; registering for one class registers you for the session.  

Come play at Barney library. Time for caregivers and children to form friendships! Parents can chat while children play in the Gallery turned playroom! Drop in for a few minutes or stay the whole time. No registration required.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

 Have fun getting to know the ABCs! This early literacy program focuses on the alphabet by introducing children to a different letter of the alphabet each week through stories, music, and a craft.

Would you like to read to Sophie, the certified therapy dog?  Call the Library at 860-673-6791 to schedule your very own 10-minute, one-on-one snuggle and read time.  Bring your favorite book or choose one of ours.

Let’s move and groove together in the Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing. We will meet in the Gallery upstairs at the Barney. This is a drop in program.

Celebrate the arrival of Spring by starting a nature journaling practice as we walk on the Farmington Canal River Trail! Attendees will receive a free mini journal to record their experiences for each walkabout. 

Ages 2.5 - 3 and their caregivers. Registration required; register once for the Spring session. 

For three- and four-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration Required; registering for one class registers you for the session. 

For two-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration required; register once for the 7-week session. 

A quiet and calm environment to explore hands-on activities that help children build fine and gross motor skills.  You will have fun experiencing stations that will stimulate your senses.

Sign up to design your own engraved bracelet using our Cricut machine! You'll design your bracelet and the Teen Librarian will set up the Cricut to engrave it for you, so no training required!

Stop by the library to watch anime of your choice afterschool! Enjoy some snacks and vote on future titles!
