April 28 – May 4, 2024 is Preservation Week, established to inspires action to preserve personal, family, and community collections in addition to library, museum, and archive collections.
Newbery and Pura Belpré-award winning author Meg Medina is the 2024 Honorary Chair of National Library Week.
We're so excited for another season of the Seed Library at the Barney Library. The Seed Library is a collection of seeds donated by seed companies that you can 'borrow' and plant at home.

We have a build up of Lost & Found items at the Barney Library. If you or your child think perhaps your item could be one of the many coats, sweatshirts or gloves we have accumulated, now is the perfect time to stop by and retrieve your item!
The Farmington Libraries are looking for local artisans to participate in our 2024 Maker Fair. This event is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, March 24 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Main Library, 6 Monteith Drive, Farmington.
The Farmington Village Green and Library Association is happy to announce Jocelyn Kennedy has been named Executive Director for The Farmington Libraries. She will begin in her new role starting on September 5th.
