Week Calendar

For caregivers of babies ages 0 to 12 months. Registration required; registering for one class registers you for the whole session.  

Ages 12 - 23 months with a caregiver. A fun-filled storytime featuring books, fingerplays, and lots of music and movement.

**Please note: No class on March 15

Terrific Twos is designed for the child who will be 24 months old at the start of the session. We will build early literacy skills through the use of books, rhymes, finger play and songs. 

Join us to get movin' and groovin' with stories, music, movement, and a sensory or play activity! 

Drop-in program.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

Let’s move and groove together at the Barney Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing in the Hoppin Gallery. This is a drop in program, no registration required!

In Pint-Sized Picassos we share a story and explore a different art medium that will aim to focus on both early literacy and fine motor skills. Caregiver must accompany their child.

In Bite Size Science we will share a story and complete an exciting experiment or project focusing on early science concepts.

There is no class on April 2, 2025 or April 16, 2025.

Families sign up to join us at the Barney Library to learn basic engineering and coding with Lego SPIKE Prime together! Work as a family to create amazing LEGO creations that come to life.

Ages 4 – 5, for the child alone (caregivers must stay in the Kids’ Place). Registration required. Please note that you only need to register once for all 23 classes.

Join us in reading the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. After reading about Stanley's adventures we will create our own flat Stanleys that can go on adventures and practice addressing envelopes.

The Afterschool Art Club is a block of time set aside to come in and work on an art project that drives your creativity. Assorted supplies available.

Kids in Grades 2 to 5 can sign up to join us at the Barney Library to learn basic engineering and coding with Lego SPIKE Prime!  We'll work in pairs to create amazing LEGO creations that come to life.

Join us to read Itty Bitty Kitty-corn by Shannon Hale and design your own unicorn wall hanging craft!

Adaptive storytime will offer families of  neurodiverse children ages 4 -10 a slower-paced storytime in a small group setting.
