Week Calendar

Ages 12 - 23 months with a caregiver. A fun-filled half-hour featuring books, fingerplays, and lots of music and movement.

Please note there is no class 10/14 and 11/11 as the library is closed.

It's pumpkin spice season! We'll be making our own pumpkin spice candles, perfect for cozy vibes!

Terrific Twos is designed for the child who will be 24 months old at the start of the session. We will build early literacy skills through the use of books, rhymes, finger play and songs. 

In Bite Size Science we will share a story and complete an exciting experiment or project focusing on early science concepts.

(Please note there is a separate registration for each Bite Size Science class.)

For caregivers of babies ages 0 to 12 months. Registration required; registering for one class registers you for the whole session.  

Drop-in program.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

For three-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration Required; registering for one class registers you for the whole session. 

In this program children ages 3-5 will have the opportunity to explore and create music using their voices, bodies, and percussion instruments. Each week we will learn about music through stories, songs, and crafts.

In Pint-Sized Picassos we share a story and explore a different art medium that will aim to focus on both early literacy and fine motor skills. Caregiver must accompany their child.

Imagine Nation Museum Early Learning Center will be here for some Fossil Fun during our DINOvember!  Junior paleontologists will learn the difference between different types of real fossils and make their own mold fossil to take home.

Homeschoolers ages 7-9 are invited to discuss 2025 CT Elementary Nutmeg Book Award Nominees each month with the Farmington Libraries and Avon Free Public Library!  Each library will alternate months hosting the discussion.

The Afterschool Art Club is a block of time set aside to come in and work on an art project that drives your creativity. Assorted supplies available.

Do you keep your receipts? Fortunes? Movie tickets? Put it all in your junk journal! A junk journal holds both your little trinkets and your thoughts.

Meet up at the Barney Library Lawn and get ready to catch some Pokemon! Get those kilometers in and stop by some Pokestops! We will meet on the Barney Lawn and start walking around 3:50 pm.

Come craft with us in the Maker Space. Meet other crafters at this in-person monthly tutorial. Learn what our equipment can do without having to know how to use any of it!

Come take a trip around the world with our favorite caterpillar!  We'll read this classic book in both English and another language, then do some fun activities together to learn about the featured culture.  You'll get a special passport

Come and enjoy a story, games, and rotating around to different S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) stations.
