Drop-in program.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

BUBBLES BUBBLES BUBBLES!  Join us outside the Barney Library for a special bubble story time. Read some bubble books, make your own bubble wand, and create lots of bubbles big and small!

Let’s move and groove together in the Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing. We will meet in the Hoppin Gallery upstairs at the Barney. This is a drop in program.

Put together your very own fairy garden with all kinds of fantastical things! Many of the items were made with our new Bambu 3D printer. Combine 3D printed models, natural resources and other objects to make a beautiful garden for your fairies.

EmpowerSTEM is a program for kids aged 7-12 that fosters hands-on exploration and problem solving through interactive activities and experiments, igniting curiosity and creativity.

Meet up at the Barney Library Lawn and get ready to catch some Pokemon! Get those kilometers in and stop by some Pokestops! We will meet on the Barney Lawn and start walking around 11:05am.

Join us for an outdoor concert featuring Steve Dunn! Steve is a tour and session guitar player / vocalist / Producer / Songwriter / Voiceover Artist!

Stop by the Teen Space to Make! You can select an item to print on our 3D-printer, work on a Glowforge project with our available materials, or just do some low-tech crafting! 

Come join an hour of fiber arts, and learn the basics of knitting. If you have access to your yarn and needles you're welcome to bring them with you. If not, we have plenty of yarn and needles that you may use!

Invent the Summer features weekly STEM challenges created by kids, for kids! Complete each challenge for a chance to win fabulous prizes!

Join the No Book Book Club where there's no assigned reading. This book club gives you the opportunity to make new friends and learn about many books in a one-hour meetup.

Inspire your kiddos to make art this summer and join us live! Creativebug's Courtney Cerruti and her 8 year-old pal, Sophie will spend the hour exploring materials to make stamps, make marks with your hands, draw self portraits and more.

Want to play Dungeons & Dragons? Stop by the library to join in on the action and thrills of classic dungeon delve adventuring run by Professional Game Master Justin.

Join us for a gnome-themed step-by-step paint night with Miss Melissa! You’ll follow along and learn how to paint a magical scene you can take home. 

Learn how to crochet a cute cuddly dragon along with the Teen Librarian in this weekly series! We will learn some basics of crochet and then make the dragon in pieces each week.

In addition to being a Boston-area favorite, magician Mike Bent has done shows all over the world (including at the White House!)  This summer he is bringing his magic show to the Farmington Library - aren't we lucky?!
