For two-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration required; register once for the 6-week session. 

For caregivers of babies ages 0 to 12 months. Registration required; registering for one class registers you for the 5-week session.  

A fun-filled half hour for child and caregiver featuring books, fingerplays, and lots of music.

Drop-in program.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

Come play with some toys at the Barney library. Open play time with our toys! Drop in, no registration required. Ages 1-5

For three-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration Required; registering for one class registers you for the whole 5-class session. 

Let’s move and groove together in the Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing. We will meet in the Gallery upstairs at the Barney. This is a drop in program.

Each week we will share a story and then complete an exciting experiment or project focusing on early science concepts.

Ages 2.5 - 3 and their caregivers. Registration required; register once for the 6-week session. 

In Pint-Sized Picassos we share a story and explore a different art medium that will aim to focus on both early literacy and fine motor skills. Caregiver must accompany their child.

Each week we’ll read a picture book then watch that book come to life as we play the picture book movie on our screen, followed by coloring time!

Enjoy a story that we will then weave into our art project - Pasta Skeletons!

Take our Legos and your imagination and what will you build? Creations will be on display for 2 weeks after the program. Duplos available for younger builders. 

Ages 4 – 5, for the child alone. Registration Required. Please note that you only need to register once for all 26 weeks. 

Kristen Wilder, Family Engagement Facilitator for the Farmington Schools, will be offering a series of workshops for Kindergartners and their parents; attendees can choose which they'd like to attend.  

Wear blue and come prepared to do all things “Bluey!” Stories, games, crafts, and maybe a sweet blue treat. 

Abbot & Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948)

Join the No Book Book Club where there's no assigned reading. This book club gives you the opportunity to make new friends and learn about many books in a one-hour meetup. 

Do you like audiobooks? Share your favorite listen. 

We'll provide the drawing supplies and you'll provide your creativity! Stop by the library after school for a fun hour of drawing with friends! Lead by a fellow FHS student, Vipul Ghanta, join your friends for an hour long brain break!

Join us every Friday for an hour of free-writing and discussion. Each session will have prompts, guidance, and absolute fun. Bring your writing questions or just your ideas to workshop. 

Learn to Knit.  This beginner program is best suited for kids ages 7-12.  We will provide needles and yarn to begin.  Let's knit a project together!

Want to learn how to code and make some friends along the way? Bring your laptop and join our Girls Who Code Club for Grades 7-12.

Join us for a bit of knitting! Bring your enthusiasm, works-in-progress, pattern questions, dropped stitches, sense of humor, and curiosity!

Sign up to design and make your own motel style keychain! Base it off of your favorite fandom or something all your own! Designs will be made and keychains will be cut out of the acrylic picked up at a later date!

There is time for public comment at each regularly scheduled Board meeting. Should you wish to speak please register with the Administration office.

We have teamed up with The Farmington High School Robotics Team for an engaging evening to teach basic S.T.E.A.M principles, all while having fun! 

Join presenter Matt Yanarella from MY Productions CT for this fun and informative event. A cooking class for all ages to learn how to make fresh pasta from scratch!
