A fun-filled half hour for child and caregiver featuring books, fingerplays and lots of music.

 Each week we will share a story and explore a different art medium that will aim to focus on both early literacy and fine motor skills. Caregiver must accompany their child.

For caregivers of babies ages 0 to 12 months. Registration required; registering for one class registers you for the session.  

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

 Have fun getting to know the ABCs! This early literacy program focuses on the alphabet by introducing children to a different letter of the alphabet each week through stories, music, and a craft.

For two-year-olds and their caregivers. Registration required; register once for the 4-week session. 

Let’s move and groove together in the Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing. We will meet in the Gallery upstairs at the Barney. This is a drop in program.

Join us for a two hour workshop where you'll learn to connect with nature mindfully through creative journaling. We will make a simple journal and begin to fill the pages with expressive art and haiku, inspired by the beauty of Fall.

Barney Kids Book Club

Ages 5-10

Join Miss Amy at Barney to read a book and do a craft.  This program will meet indoors in the Hoppin Gallery.

Join us in the Teen Space to decorate your very own crepe paper succulents! These "succulents" are cute and require no care! Also available as a Grab and Go Kit!

Come to the library and have fun with friends and fruit!  We will be making (and tasting!) easy-to-make snacks with a fruit theme.

Learn to Knit.  This beginner program is best suited for kids ages 7-12.  We will provide needles and yarn to begin.  Let's knit a project together!
