The Hartford Men in Harmony is made up men of all ages from all backgrounds. The ingredients we share are a love of harmony, fellowship, and curiosity to learn and continually develop our personal musical ability.

Need some time to just relax and wrap your gifts for your holiday celebrations? We’ve got you. We have free wrapping paper, tape, scissors, and other wrapping supplies to make it a little easier on you this holiday season.  

Drop-in program.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

We're cleaning out our storytime and craft closets and putting out a wide variety of crafts - come to the library between noon and 3 PM to relax and get creative.

Come play with some toys at the Barney Library. Open play time with our toys! Drop in, no registration required perfect for ages 1-5.

We're going to move and groove on this vacation week Monday! Enjoy a fun book and do some dancing. We will meet in the Hoppin Gallery upstairs at the Barney. This is a drop in program.

Let’s practice ringing in the New Year together!  We’ll share a story, create New Year’s Eve kits and headbands, and have a countdown complete with bubble wrap stomp and a rockin’ dance party!

Come enjoy a special screening of The Wild Robot (2024, rated PG) at the Barney Library.

At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome it's BYOBook (or browse the Barney Library shelves!). Settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize—or not! 

Children ages 3 and up and a caregiver can join us by the fireplace in the lobby of the Farmington Library for a cozy family storytime. We will finish with hot cocoa in the Children's Program Room. No registration required.

Join the first Farmington Artists Circle at the Barney Library to talk about how we might build a more connected cultural art community here in Farmington.

Homeschoolers ages 7-9 are invited to discuss 2025 CT Elementary Nutmeg Book Award Nominees each month with the Farmington Libraries and Avon Free Public Library!  Each library will alternate months hosting the discussion.

In collaboration with the Farmington High School Generations Club: Enjoy an afternoon with freshly brewed coffee and great company.

The Afterschool Art Club is a block of time set aside to come in and work on an art project that drives your creativity. Assorted supplies available.

Get together and unmask with others who think differently. Show off your special interest, share experiences, and inspire and encourage others living in the neurotypical world.
