Join Miss Amy for a school age picture book storytime and craft! For kids in grades K-4

Let’s move and groove together at the Barney Library! We will read a fun book and do some dancing in the Hoppin Gallery. This is a drop in program, no registration required!

Local resident and retired educator, John Sherman, is bringing his love for one of our oldest board games – “The Game of Kings!” - to the Farmington Library.  Beginners through advanced are welcome.

Join us for an unFROGetable evening! We will learn about toads and their habitats and create our own toad homes!

Drop-in program.

This high-energy music and movement class will have us dancing and laughing!  We'll start with a story and then move to the music.

Children ages 3-5 are invited to participate in a modified dance class and have the opportunity to meet a ballerina from the Hartt School of Dance!

Join Miss Amy and Mrs. Hacker and discover all things graphic novels at the Barney Library! Which ones are your favorites? Did you know they come in all different genres just like other books? Want to learn how to write your own?

Come and enjoy a story, games, and rotating around to different S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) stations.

Come play at Barney Library. Time for caregivers and children to form friendships! Parents can chat while children play in the Gallery turned playroom! Drop in for a few minutes or stay the whole time. No registration required. 

Kids ages 8 to 12 can sign up to join us at the Barney Library to learn basic engineering and coding with Lego SPIKE Prime!  Build and code to create amazing LEGO models that come to life. Space is limited, registration is required.

The Farmington Cultural District is hosting a vibrant celebration of art and community at the Live Art Walk!

The Afterschool Art Club is a block of time set aside to come in and work on an art project that drives your creativity. Assorted supplies available.

Come join us at the beautiful Farmington Land Trust location for Summer stories and activities. We will meet in the small barn adjacent to the parking area.

Create your own adorable frog using a foam cup, pipe cleaners and paint!

Snuggle up to a great book at Pajama Storytime! Roll out of bed and head to the Barney Library to join Miss Shana & Miss Amy for a special storytime.
