Virtual Adult Spelling Bee ages 16 & over

Join us for our first ever Virtual Spelling Bee! Teens 16 and over and adults are invited to study up and join us for a one round elimination spelling bee.

The winner will receive a spiffy new Farmington Library Tote Bag and gift card from Rebel Dog Coffee!

Rules:

1. This spelling bee is conducted entirely online on our online platform Zoom. A computer with a working microphone and webcam is required. It should be tested in advance by the participants. See more about Zoom below.

2. The speller has 1 minute to spell the word they are given, starting from the time when the pronouncer first says the word.The speller may ask for the word to be repeated and/or used in a sentence before the timer starts, and no questions are allowed after the timer has started.

3. All participants should have fun, laugh at yourself and not others and not take it too seriously. Joining, trying and meeting our fellow spellers is what our spelling bee is all about!

Registration is required. Join us via Zoom!

Instructions for Zoom: 

Please download the Zoom app on your computer, phone or tablet. You do not have to have a Zoom account to join the meeting. When you register for this program, you will be sent a unique Zoom ID and password. A few minutes before the event, open the Zoom app and type in the meeting ID and password to join us.
