Summer Reading Picnic and Celebration

To Kick-Off our All Ages Summer Reading program this year, The Farmington Libraries will host a Picnic and Celebration with entertainment and activities!  Our theme this year is Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds.

Bring your dinner, a blanket and/or some chairs and join us on the lawn while interactive DJ Red Supreme spins music and leads dances.  Everyone who registers for summer reading will receive a ticket for a free cold dessert.

We will have a special visit from Dillon, the furry green mascot for soccer team the Hartford Athletic.  

We will also welcome Jason from Bending Gravity Entertainment with his circus styles, including juggling and maybe even stilt-walking!

To close our the evening, at 7 pm The Knights of Gore will appear in full armor with their squires in attendance to perform an armor and combat show.  Please note:  This performance will feature a realistic, unscripted fighting demonstration.  Attend this part of the event at your discretion.

There will also be lawn games and tables with activities for all ages!  No registration is required.  In the event of inclement weather, the party will be moved indoors to our Jay Johnston Community Room.  See you there!
