Program Description

Event Details

Learn how to make kombucha and ginger lemon and lime sodas with Master Brewer Ann Mione!

Kombucha is tea fermented by a community of organisms into a delicious tart beverage.  It is produced by a SCOBY (symbiotic community of bacteria and yeast) culture.  Making kombucha at home costs a fraction of store bought.  Plus, it allows you to make any flavor you choose.  Join us and you will receive your very own SCOBY, brewing vessel, and all the ingredients necessary to make kombucha!  Your SCOBY will be able to produce infinite kombucha when cared for properly.

Ginger Lemon and Turmeric Lime sodas are raw, fermented, bubbly, and refreshing!  A culture or “bug”  is used to begin the fermentation process.   In this portion of the class,  you will mix together your “bugs”  to make these two delicious  drinks.   When cared for, your bugs will last indefinitely and will be able to make infinite batches of soda.

Ages 12 and Up.

SPACE IS LIMITED. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Registration opens 1 month before program.
