The Farmington Libraries Maker Fair is where the community gathers to experience hands-on learning with the latest and greatest tech and gadgets, handicrafts, and more! Visit activity stations featuring low-tech and hi-tech projects for ALL AGES and skill levels located throughout the Library, take part in a small workshop, or watch local artisans as they practice their craft. This and more awaits you at the Maker Fair! FIND OUT WHAT'S IN STORE

WORKSHOPS (registration opens 3/1)

PLEASE NOTE:

  • You must be age 12 & up to participate in workshops
  • You may only register two people
  • Due to overwhelming interest in our workshops, we are asking anyone registered for multiple workshops to choose (1) as their top choice, while being put on the Waiting List for all others. This ensures that more people get to enjoy the workshops the day of the Maker Fair, while also guaranteeing those already registered a chance to participate in their first choice!
  • To be able to participate on the day of the Maker Fair, you must be present at the Board Rooms 5 minutes before the start time. If you are not present by this time, your seat will be given to the next available person on the Waiting List.

The Library is looking for volunteers (ages 14+) to work in pairs staffing activity booths, greeting attendees, and helping with the setup and event clean-up. Anyone interested should contact the Teen Services Librarian, Anna Boisvert, by email at aboisvert@farmingtonlibraries.org or in person at the Information Services Desk at the Main Library.
