Reading and Open Mic for the Connecticut Poetry Society

The Farmington Valley Chapter of the Connecticut Poetry Society, in collaboration with the Farmington Library and local artist Tatyana Nadgor, will offer two events in September: first a poetry writing workshop and later an open mic opportunity. Whether you’re a seasoned poet or you’ve never written one, we invite you to participate in either or both of these events! Tatyana’s art will be on display at the library from August 24 through September 30 for inspiration.

We welcome you to this opportunity to read and listen to the poems that resulted from the workshop in front of the art that inspired them, and an opportunity to meet the artist. Then the mic will be open for anyone who wants to share their poetry, prose, spoken word, or acoustic music.

Sign-up for the open mic will begin at 5:45 that evening. Readers and musicians can perform for up to 5 minutes. If writing and/or performing doesn’t appeal to you please come to hear the local talent.
