Silent Film Celebration: Phantom of the Opera

Join us for a special screening of the 1925 version of The Phantom of the Opera starring Lon Chaney Sr. This classic silent movie is famed not just for its depiction of the story of the Paris Opera and 'the Phantom', but for the thrills it gave audiences in its initial screenings. Universal's monsters and horror movies would become a staple of the big screen in the years to come. To mark National Silent Movie Day, the Farmington Libraries invites you to join us this September for a screening with live piano accompaniment.
