Drop by and enjoy the art of Beverlee Corriveau and Linda Lastoff mid December to mid January in the Jay Johnston Community Room. The show is certain to please art lovers as the exhibit is all about color, textures and their abiding love of nature.
Beverlee has always been creative, but moved her focus to fine art several years ago. She studied with several instructors, starting with pastels, but found her love of oil paints during her quest. βIt just felt right.β
βI love how color can attract one to a painting, enticing the viewer to experience a feeling or mood.β Her oil paintings often feature flowers from the farm she and her husband own in Wilbraham, MA.
Beverlee has won numerous awards throughout New England. She is the current president of the Wilbraham Art League as well as a member of Tobacco Valley Artists and the Artists at the Crossroads.
Linda, a graduate of Boston University, taught art in public schools in Massachusetts, Vermont and Connecticut. She has given private lessons and workshops in pastel painting and has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for her art. A few of the awards include 1st place New England Fine Arts exhibit, Honor Award Academic Artists Assoc., Barthelson Award Mystic Arts Center, and the Richeson Award Art Center East.
Deeply involved in the advancement of fine arts, Linda was president of The Wilbraham Art League for seven years. She currently holds memberships in numerous local and regional associations.
An art patron, Linda sponsors a personal award at the Monson Arts Council annual exhibit
