Learn to Knit on Wednesday, May 4
Would you like to learn to knit? Miss Paula will provide yarn and needles to start and then give you information to purchase your own supplies. Learn to cast on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch and bind off.
Kids Care Club on Tuesday, May 17
Have you ever wondered how you could help someone in your community? The Farmington Libraries Kids’ Place is collaborating with Services for the Elderly to make crafts for our senior citizens. Have fun and make a senior citizens day with a homemade craft!
Saturday with Sophie the Dog on Saturday, May 21
Would you like to read to Sophie, the certified therapy dog? Call the Library at 860-673-6791 to schedule your very own 10-minute, one-on-one snuggle and read time. Bring your favorite book or choose one of ours. This program is perfect for families! There are six spots available.
Rio and Silas with Love – Author event about pet fostering and adoption! on Saturday, May 21
Jan and Sophie, the duo from our Read to Sophie the dog program, will share their adoption story, and then we will meet author Michele Kean as she reads her book Rio and Silas with Love and shares her own special story. (Rio and Silas are brothers being fostered by June and Jax. They've never had a home before. Now they are in a place of Love where they can learn new things until they find their forever home.) Learn about pet fostering and adoption at our very special event!!
