Can meditation heal more than the spirit? Find out on Wednesday, May 6, when the Farmington libraries host Matthew Raider, MD to present the latest clinical research on how meditation can improve our physical, mental and spiritual health. This event will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Main Library at 6 Monteith Drive.
During the evening attendees will have a chance to practice this simple technique that can reduce stress, enhance relaxation and promote inner growth. No prior experience with meditation is required.
Matthew Raider, MD is a clinical physician and coordinating director of the Geriatric Teaching Program in Family Medicine at Middlesex Hospital in Connecticut. He has been practicing meditation for over 35 years.
This event is free and open to the public.
