Are you a painter looking to branch out of your typical medium? Or maybe you consider yourself a drawing novice, looking to improve you skills but without the hassle of purchasing additional supplies or cleaning up messes. Either way, our Maker Space has a great alternative for drawing and painting enthusiasts at all levels of curiosity!
Our Makers Space contains ten available iPads, including one iPad Pro, along with an Apple Pen and plenty of drawing styli for creative thinkers to come in and sketch, paint, and doodle their ideas. Each iPad comes with a selection of our favorite drawing apps installed and ready to use including Paper 53, Pro Create, and Tayasui Sketches. Artists of all experience levels can come in and use our iPads as a way to express their ideas and artwork digitally, with the capabilities to e-mail, share, or print their finished work!

A drawing created by Emmy, who attended our Maker Space program “iPads as a Canvas” this past March.
If you, or someone you know, may be interested in exploring these painting apps and tools available on our Maker Space iPads, please visit the Information Services Desk on the second floor of the main library, or give us a call at 860-673-6791 to reserve a device before you come in. There is a librarian on staff who will be more than happy to help you get started!
