On Tuesday, November 4, and Tuesday, November 11, the Farmington Libraries welcome Clare Vidich in leading two different meditation sessions. Each Session will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Main Library at 6 Monteith Drive.
“Imagine you are carrying a private retreat around inside you, a sanctuary you can visit whenever modern life gets too much. Imagine contentment and freedom from fear—whenever you wish it. You are imagining the peace of body, mind and soul that meditation can bring you. Whether you are already meditating or a beginner, this class has something to offer you. Learn how meditation enhances physical, mental and emotional well-being. Using a simple technique of meditation, you can begin your personal transformation, allowing inner peace to permeate your life. Suggested reading before, during, and after this class would be “Inner and Outer Peace Through Meditation,” by Rajinder Singh. Copies of the book will be available at the Main Library Information Desk.
Clare Vidich is the director of Kirpal Meditation Retreat Center where she holds regular retreats and workshops. She serves on the Committee for the Integrative Health Services at Windham Hospital. She is a Montessori teacher and mother of three grown sons who offers meditation classes in adult ed. programs, high schools and preschools. She has been meditating for over 40 years and studies under the guidance of Rajinder Singh, an internationally recognized expert meditation teacher and author of best-selling books on meditation, including “Inner and Outer Peace through Meditation” and “Empowering Your Soul through Meditation.”
