SCORE Presents: Social Media Marketing for Small Businesses

This workshop is designed to help small to medium sized businesses understand and effectively market in the ever-changing social media landscape.

Lance Leifert, a digital marketing expert, will cover:

  • Understanding the evolution of marketing – what works and what does not
  • Choosing the right social media platforms for your businesses
  • How your website works with social media

Presenter Lance Leifert formed Conquest, a digital agency, in 1997. Conquest saw the changes in marketing trends and converted to an integrated marketing agency in 2015 offering both traditional and digital marketing services with a focus on strong digital capabilities. As pioneers in this new style of marketing, Conquest has grown to be recognized as an industry leader and has helped clients of all sizes strategize and the implement cutting edge integrated marketing programs.

Lance brings over 20 years of experience in technology oriented marketing and development. With a degree from UCONN in Engineering and Computer Science and graduate degree with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, his career path led him to work with many aspects of technology. In addition, Lance has been an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut for over ten years and sits on various boards.

SCORE is a nonprofit organization that helps small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. The Greater Hartford Chapter was founded in 1964 as a charter member of the National SCORE Association with the mission to match the experience of seasoned business owners and managers to the problems and challenges confronting existing and prospective small business owners.
