On Wednesday, August 6, the Farmington Libraries will host a workshop on preserving your photographs. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to have up to 25 of their personal photographs professionally scanned. This event will take place at 7:00pm at the Main Library at 6 Monteith Drive.

This program explores topics such as: Digital vs. Physical Preservation …What’s the Difference? Getting Started Organizing Photos, ABCs of Organizing Software, Scanning, and Archival Backup. Learn how preserving personal photographs can enrich our entire community.

Bring up to 25 of your very own personal photos (up to 8x 10 size, no albums) and get the chance to have them scanned using professional, picture-saver-scanning equipment. Then keep your original pictures and get a digital copy to save and share!

Advanced registration is required for the program. Please register in advance by calling the library at 860-673-6791 or using this link.

The Farmington Library is part of the Farmington Village Green and Library Association.  If you have special needs to attend library programs, contact the library in advance.
